CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) received its very first Fairness Opinion Report (FOR) issued by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for the Spinoff Company, Winely Yours, with its technology “Cocowine in Wild Honey”.
The issuance of the Fairness Opinion Report and Written Recommendation for the Cocowine technology is the first in Samar,thereby making a history in the technopreneurship world.
The FOR will soon be awarded to Dr. Edelyn Echapare, Winely Yours CEO, through the SSU Technology Business Incubation-Local Alliance of Marine-Based Businesses and Food Technology (TBI-LAMBAT) headed by Dr. Vivian L. Moya, the Director for Intellectual Property and Technology Business Development Office (IPTBDO).
The Fairness Opinion Report is a document crafted by a neutral third-party called a Fairness Opinion Board (FOB) which analyzes the fairness of a proposed technology transfer transaction.
SSU is proud of this technology as it brings Samar along its success.
