CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—Samar State University (SSU) successfully conducted its Management Review on November 17, 2025, bringing together key university officials to evaluate the results of the 2nd Internal Quality Audit (IQA) and reinforce SSU’s commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
The session opened with the presentation of the agenda by Mr. Jake Boy D. Carbonquillo, Quality Management Representative and Director of the University Quality Assurance Office. This was followed by a detailed IQA result presentations from Engr. Hebe C. Uy for the SSU – Main Campus, Dr. Nicolas O. Boco for the SSU – Mercedes Campus, and Ms. Joan J. Baclay for the SSU – Paranas Campus.
The review also covered updates on client feedback, actions taken to address non-conformities, and ongoing risk management efforts. The Supply and Infrastructure teams likewise reported on supplier performance, emphasizing procurement efficiency and service reliability.
University President Dr. Redentor S. Palencia underscored the significance of the Management Review as he described it as a vital mechanism in strengthening institutional systems, improving service delivery, and upholding a culture of excellence across all campuses.
The annual review forms part of SSU’s sustained efforts to enhance its processes and operational standards as it continues to advance quality education and institutional development.
