CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—Samar State University (SSU) has joined the nationwide observance of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) this September 2025, with a month-long lineup of activities honoring public service excellence, integrity, and nation-building.
The celebration carries the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” that stresses the role of civil servants and government institutions in shaping a people-centered nation with passion, dignity, and competency.
SSU commenced the celebration on the first Monday of the month, September 1, at the Main Campus in Catbalogan City where faculty, staff, and students gathered to launch the celebration.
Moreover, the SSU Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) has prepared a variety of activities for September in line with the 2025 PSCA, including:
- Fun Fest: Badminton on September 3, 2025
- 2025 Government Job Fair on September 5, 2025
- Orientation/Re-orientation and Oathtaking of Newly Hired & Promoted SSU Personnel/Faculty on September 10, 2025
- Fun Fest: Volleyball on September 17, 2025
- Tree Growing Activity on September 19, 2025
- Fun Run/Walk and Closing Program on September 26, 2025
With its month-long celebration, SSU not only honors the spirit of public service but also reinforces the role of public servants as essential influence towards building a nation grounded in trust, integrity, and collective progress.
